About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Shingle Springs, Crepe Town European Café & Grill offers a delightful fusion of European flavors with a welcoming hometown vibe. This charming café specializes in a diverse menu that perfectly suits breakfast, brunch, and casual dining enthusiasts seeking a creative twist on classic favorites.

Step inside and you’re greeted by an inviting, cozy atmosphere where mismatched mugs and saucers add a playful touch of whimsy, complementing the warm, friendly service locals rave about. The soft background music and pleasant buzz of conversation create an enjoyable space for families, friends, or solo diners looking for a comforting yet elevated meal experience.

The culinary magic lies in their array of mouthwatering savory and sweet crepes, reflecting authentic European influences balanced with California freshness. The Pacific Crepe is a standout – fresh salmon, shrimp, spinach, tomato, and Swiss cheese folded into a perfect crepe and served alongside a crisp house salad and the choice of house potatoes or fresh fruit. For a taste of the Mediterranean, the Greek Crepe dazzles with pesto, olives, artichokes, red onion, spinach, and feta, making for a rich, flavorful plate that transports your palate overseas.

If you prefer heartier fare, their famous Dave's Country Benedict is a must-try—a comforting, perfectly poached egg and savory gravy combination that customers have described as consistently delicious and generously seasoned. The Crepe Town Burrito and Chicken Rosemary Crepe also delight diners looking for savory richness with a touch of finesse.

Sweet tooths are equally pampered here. Indulge in the luscious Cherry Delight Crepe, bursting with cherries, homemade whipped cream, and drizzled with white chocolate and walnuts, or savor the classic simplicity of The Plain One, a lightly sprinkled crepe that’s simple but unforgettable. The Suzette Crepe, infused with orange liqueur and vanilla ice cream, provides an elegant finish for dessert lovers.

Families will appreciate the thoughtfully curated kids menu including favorites like the Kids Mickey Mouse Pancake and Eggs and Kids Mini Burger with Fries, ensuring little diners’ smiles all around.

Visitors often praise not just the food but the full experience. From what we gather through enthusiastic customer voices, like Parker McKee’s note on the “small town hospitality meets international cuisine,” to Ed Cable’s glowing “hidden gem” recommendation highlighting pet-friendly outdoor seating, Crepe Town manages to feel both familiar and exciting. Laine F-S appreciates the efficient seating despite a busy weekend morning, while Nicholas Nilsen notes the spot-on seasoning and consistent quality of their Benedict offerings.

Whether you’re craving a leisurely weekend brunch, a comforting crepe, or a flavorful coffee in a friendly, unpretentious setting, Crepe Town European Café & Grill invites you to savor each bite and enjoy a uniquely satisfying dining journey that lingers—on your palate and in your heart.

Good breakfast place. Although I saw as we were going in that they serve dinner every Friday, Saturday and Sunday too. Parking is ample, but when we came in at 1030AM on a Saturday, Hubby had to wait a few mins for a spot. When we went in, we got seated right away. Yelp says that this restaurant take reservation though. There's music playing in the background, but the noise from other customers were drowning it. No biggie, we came here for breakfast and not music. Menu has a lot of choices: Alcoholic cocktails (Mimosas, Sangria, Bloody Mary), Coffee, Breakfast food (Benedicts, Crepes - savory and sweet, omelettes, egg scambles, We ordered: Cafe Mocha, Pomegranate & Mango Mimosa, Salmon Benedict on Crepe, Denver Scramble, Chicken Pesto Crepe, Nutella and Creamy Delight Sweet Crepes. We waited about 25mins for the food to be served, kinda very long wait, but it did say in the menu that "All food is prepared fresh to order and please allow 20 to 30 minutes to be prepared". When the food came, it was worth the wait. Mocha - perfectly made, (not too sweet),and we had options for almond or oat for the milk. Pomegrante & Mango Mimosa - happy with it too, but the alcohol in it was kinda very light. Salmon Benedict - a lot of Salmon on it. Hollandaise sauce tasted ok, poached eggs were perfect. But what made it a bomb was the option of the Crepe instead of English muffin. Denver Scramble - tasted ok. Nothing Special Chicken Pesto savory crepe - I didn't get to taste this. But Hubby says chicken was kinda dry Nutella and Creamy Delight (Sweet Crepes) - were perfect. The Creamy Delight have a lot of fruits (strawberry and blueberries) in it. Tasted light and not too sweet, but very flavorful. Service: Excellent. The server was very attentive and checked with us more than 5x while we were there. This restaurant is suited for families. Clean, delicious food, appealing atmosphere, helpful staff, and brilliant service are just a few reasons that I'll be back again.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast, look no further than CT European Cafe & Grill! Small town hospitality meets international cuisine. From mimosas and lattes to Benedict’s and Goulash, there is a treat for everyone in the family! I enjoyed the crab Benedict on a crepe instead of an English muffin. (Perfectly poached egg) It was light and packed with flavor! Whether you’re looking to try something new or stick with the tried and true, this is a must visit.

What a hidden gem. Delicious food and an expansive menu that you'll want to come back to explore. The understated location and name don't do this place justice. The food was delicious, service was great and outdoor seating that was pet-friendly was refreshing on a warm summer day. We had the country-fried chicken, California crepe and the plain one sweet crepe. The spice on the gravy was spot-on, portions were plentiful, ingredients fresh, and a wide variety of sweet and savory options to please herbivores and carnivores alike. Look forward to trying their European specialties for dinner or lunch.

I visited on June 19, 2025. I absolutely loved the quaint restaurant, great food, and excellent service. I had the Burgundy Crepe and it was delicious. I had a great experience here and would highly recommend it. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely eat here again.

Always fantastic, they have an incredible selection of eggs Benedict. I just had their country Benedict. If I had one complaint it was that the side of potatoes was very small. They were cooked very nicely I was a big fan of consistency and taste of the gravy. I've had several of their crepes but I love a plain crepe with jam. The restaurant is clean and the staff are so friendly and nice. They don't mind substituting some items and they make you feel genuinely welcome. I love this place.

CT European Cafe just started serving dinners on Fridays and Saturdays. We went with friends last night. It was exceptional! The service was perfect, the dinner was amazing. We saved room for a dessert - we were so stuffed from the dinner we shared. The dessert crepe was yummy and the perfect end to our meal. We are already planning our next visit!
